um… seems to me that WordPress’ image handling is sometimes a little buggy… You should try to “normal” way first… Whenever there’s a “Insert into post”, use it. But if that doesn’t work…. this is the looong way I use that works pretty much all the time…
a) resize pictures so that their width is about 550-600 pixels (use photoshop)
b) when you write a new post, next to “add media:”, click the double rectangle. A sub window appears.
c) Under “From Computer”, click Browse, find the resized picture then click Upload
d) Click “Save all Changes”
e) Click “Media Library”
f) The picture that was uploaded should be at the top. On the same row as that picture, click “Show”
g) Copy whatever is in Link URL. (Either right click then choose copy, or Press Ctrl+C)
f) Close the sub window. (Small [x] in the top right corner)
g) Click HTML.
h) Type this:
k) Click Visual.
l) Repeat (b) through (k) for the rest of the pictures…
Alternatively, you can try hosting your pictures on flickr, then copy the picture’s URL and follow steps (g) to (k) for each picture.
